Waveland – Mrs. Fay Welch, 83, of Deers Mill died Sunday evening in Golden Manor Nursing Home in Ladoga.  She had been ill the past six years.  She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church and Daughters of the American Revolution of Ft. Thomas Ky.  Born Jan 2, 1890 at Rectorville, Ky she was a daughter of Thomas D. and Kate Hull Glascock.  She married James Welch on Jan 3, 1909 at Wallace.  He preceded her in death.  Orphaned at an early age, she was reared by Mr. and Mrs. John Bowman of  Wallace.  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Wildas) Jones of Crawfordsville; a son-in-law, Robert Jones of Crawfordsville; two grandsons, James R. of Crawfordsville and Tom Jones of Columbus, Ga; a granddaughter, Mrs. Gracie Buzzaird of Orlando, Fla; a sister, Mrs. Grace Olmsted of Waveland; a foster brother, Lex Bowman of Wallace; six great grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Machledt & Servies Funeral Home at Waveland with the Rev. Homer Cochran officiating.  Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery at Wallace.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. – kbz
